Dream Box Delivery Japan’s Shopping Service (International Shipping) is designed for customers living outside of Japan.

We purchase the items on your request list in Japan and deliver them safely to your doorstep.

 

From food and daily goods to stationery, clothing, home appliances, and limited-edition merchandise, you can order a wide range of products that are only available in Japan, right from your home.

Please note that our shopping activities are primarily conducted in the Tokyo and Kanagawa areas.

While we will do our best to locate and purchase your requested items, including regional or seasonal exclusives, some requests may not be feasible depending on stock availability or store conditions.

 

In most cases, your ordered items will be packed together and shipped in one box.

However, depending on the size, quantity, or nature of the products, we may divide them into multiple packages after prior consultation.

Pricing

Notes:

  • First payment includes: Product Cost (Deposit) + Agent Fee (First Payment)

  • Second payment includes: Agent Fee (Second Payment) + International Shipping Fee + DHL Shipment Insurance (Optional)

  • The number of items is counted by distinct product names.

Even if multiple quantities of the same product are ordered, they will be counted as one item. However, for products with purchase restrictions that require separate transactions or purchases across different days, each transaction may be treated as a separate item.

Examples:

  • KitKat Strawberry (10 pcs) → 3 bags → 1 item

  • KitKat Matcha (10 pcs) → 2 bags → 1 item

  • UNIQLO Heattech U-neck T-shirt (Women’s M, ¾ sleeve) → 5 pcs → 1 item

 

Total: 3 items

Precautions

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to check prohibited and restricted items before placing an order.

  • Refunds will not be issued in cases where items are confiscated or returned due to import restrictions.

  • Stripe transaction fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • Optional DHL shipping insurance is available upon request.

  • Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

  • As a general rule, cancellations are not accepted after you have confirmed and agreed to the estimate.

Shopping Service (International Shipping)
Terms of Service

Dream Box Delivery Japan (“we”, “us”, or “our”) offers an international Buy-for-Me Service for customers residing outside Japan. This service (“the Service”) allows us to purchase items in Japan on your behalf and ship them to your designated international address.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Service. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms apply to all relationships between the user (“you” or “the customer”) and us regarding the use of the Service.

 

Article 2 (Service Description)

We will, upon request, purchase products in Japan on your behalf and ship them to your residential address outside of Japan via international delivery.

 

Article 3 (Process)

 

You must complete and submit our designated order form to initiate your request.

 

Based on your submitted shopping list, we will prepare an estimate including:

 (1) Product cost (calculated as estimated total × 1.2)

 (2) Agent Fee based on the number of items (tax excluded, 10% consumption tax added)

 You may cancel your request at any time before agreeing to this estimate.

 

Once you agree to the estimate, we will send a payment link. Upon confirming the first payment (deposit), we will proceed with purchasing the items.

 

After purchasing, we will generate invoice documents, pack the items, estimate shipping costs, and photograph the items before and after packing.

 

We will then issue the second invoice, which includes:

 (3) 15% of the actual product total as the Agent Fee (tax excluded, 10% tax added, no cap)

 (4) International shipping fee

 If the first payment exceeds the actual product cost, the excess amount will be used toward shipping fees. Only the remaining balance will be billed.

 

Upon confirmation of the second payment, we will ship the items and send a shipping confirmation email with appropriate documentation.

 

If customs duties or import taxes are incurred during shipping, you must pay them directly to the carrier (e.g., DHL).

 

Please complete your payment as promptly as possible after receiving the payment link.

We process all requests in the order that payments are confirmed.

 

Article 4 (Fees)

 

The following four charges apply:

 (1) Product cost (estimate × 1.2)

 (2) Agent Fee based on the number of items (tax excluded, 10% tax added)

   - 1–3 items: ¥22,500

   - 4–6 items: ¥30,000

   - 7–9 items: ¥37,500

   - 10+ items: ¥45,000

 (3) 15% of the actual product total as Agent Fee (tax excluded, 10% tax added; no cap)

 (4) International shipping fee

 

Payment is made in two installments:

 - First payment: (1) + (2) (10% tax applied only to (2))

 - Second payment: (3) + (4) (10% tax applied only to (3))

 Any overpaid amount from the first payment will be applied to shipping costs.

 

A 4% Stripe payment processing fee will be added to the total of each invoice.

 

Unless otherwise stated, all prices listed on our website are exclusive of tax, and a 10% consumption tax applies only to Agent Fees.

 

Article 5 (Refund and Cancellation Policy)

 

You may cancel your request at any time before agreeing to the estimate.

 

Once you agree to the estimate, cancellation is strictly not permitted.

 

However, if you must cancel due to unavoidable personal reasons, the following rules apply:

 - If the cancellation is made before any purchases are made, the second invoice will not be issued.

 - The first payment ((1) Product Cost and (2) Agent Fee based on item quantity) will not be refunded under any circumstances.

 - If the cancellation occurs after purchases have already been made, the first payment will remain non-refundable. Furthermore, if the actual purchase cost exceeds the estimated Product Cost ((1) Product Cost), you will be required to pay the difference.

 

If, despite the initial estimate and first payment, we are unable to obtain certain items, we will refund the difference resulting from any necessary adjustments to (1) Product Cost and/or (2) Agent Fee based on item quantity.

 

Please note that Stripe payment processing fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

 

Article 6 (Request Deadline)

We do not set a specific deadline for requests. However, please ensure your request is submitted with ample time to accommodate the desired shipping schedule.

 

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

 

We shall not be held liable for any damages or losses resulting from the following:

 - Errors or omissions in the information provided by the customer

 - Product unavailability, discontinuation, or price changes

 - Damage, delay, or loss during international shipping

 - Customs duties or import taxes incurred

 - Any other issues beyond our reasonable control

 

You must confirm in advance whether the items you wish to purchase can legally be imported into your country of residence. We are not responsible for items that are confiscated, returned, or otherwise stopped at customs due to local regulations.

 

This Service does not guarantee successful purchase or delivery. You agree that we act on a best-effort basis.

 

Article 8 (Shipping Insurance)

 

All international shipments are handled via DHL. Customers may optionally add shipping insurance, with the fee being the higher of ¥2,500 or 1.2% of the declared item value. The cost shall be borne by the customer.

 

Article 9 (Prohibited Conduct)

You may not engage in the following activities:

 

Providing false or misleading information

 

Using the Service for resale or commercial purposes

 

Requesting purchase of prohibited or restricted goods under import/export laws

 

Deliberately providing inaccurate or undeliverable shipping addresses

 

Any other conduct we deem inappropriate

 

Article 10 (Modifications to Terms)

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be announced via our website or other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

 

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court located in the region where our office is based.
